The main page of the Web Graphics includes a list of categories along the left hand side. You may click a category at anytime to view those images.
With so many choices, how do you select the right graphic for your web page? Although it's primarily a matter of personal preference, there are a few important considerations: File Size: Developing web sites poses some unique challenges, not the least of which is incorporating graphics and animations that are both attractive and fast. Every 1024 bytes (one K) taken up by an image will require roughly one second to download on a 14,400 bps modem. Experts recommend that you plan out each web page prior to placing graphics so that you can calculate the total number of bytes used. Background: Web graphics are designed with a particular background in mind. The images in this product are anti-aliased (or "tuned") for light backgrounds, and some are suitable for use on backgrounds of any color. If you use an image intendeded for light backgrounds on a dark background, you'll notice that a rough white or gray border will show up between the image and the background.
Once you've pinpointed the right graphic for your use, you'll need to save the file into the folder in which you have placed your other web page graphics. NOTE: You should rename graphics to be more descriptive for your purposes and to avoid file name conflicts. |
