Off
to Kasigluk, first visit is with
Akiuk.

The Cross
Country Team. Now here is an example of dedication.
They actually load up in boats to cross the river
to train on the Akula side of Kasigluk for they do
not have enough boardwalk and trails on their side!
Go team, go!

What a
cheerful greeting... from everyone.
Alex turns away from her busy agenda to pose for a
picture - thanks Alex for all of your help while I
was there!
|
Carl Williams
is always seen helping students.
I think some of these kiddos would live in
the computer lab if we let them! Ha ha ha!
|
Oops! The
iBooks went to Saint Mary's while I was to instruct
in Akiuk. Improvision in action thanks to Esai
Twitchell. Jr. and flexible teachers!

Smile for the
camera! How do you like the make-shift screen
covering the doorway?

( NIce boat Bev!
)
Carl's
hospitality and homemade lentil soup have become a
legend in my mind and stomach not to mention the
screamin' boat that he escorted me to his school in
! Superb job Carl!

Transportation
between sites was by a small boat. David is
responsable for delivering home cooked meals to the
Village Elders daily. I hitched a ride to Agula,
thanks David.
