A sturdy boardwalk covers the ground to keep little feet out of the mud while on the Tuluksak playground. Vaughn says the only problem with the boardwalk is that it can be slippery this time of year!
Here's the entrance to the Tuluksak Elementary school. This is where we set up a lab within a lab to work with all the students throughout the day with the exception of the Junior High!
Here's the entrance to the Junior High building. Chery worked with the Junior High students on internet activities.
Look out future, here we come!
Here are a couple of kiddos infront of the store. Most folks get aroudn by four wheelers in the summer and snow machines in the winter!
What a nice sunny day to take a picture in front of the church.

It's the middle of October and the river is freezing. No worries. That means it is time to get ready for the ice road! On good years, the Kuskokwim River can freeze into a highway that can extend from Tuluksak all the way to Bethel. I've been told that some years it has even gone as far as Aniak to Bethel - Wow!

Here is Chery standing with a couple of friendly children in front of the old house that she use to live in when she was a teacher in Tuluksak back in the eighties!

If you become pen pals with any of the folks from Tuluksak, your mail will go through this building!

As I was putting this web page together, I found that I have not provided my audience, you, with a true picture of Tuluksak. As I walked around the village of Tuluksak with Chery during a beautiful sunset followed by a huge orange full moon that night, I mentioned to her how it was quite beautiful here for we were surrounded by spruce trees. I'll be sure to include some pictures of the trees when this page gets updated!
