Tuntutuliak's
Photojournalists stand here eager to take
pictures of their village led by their teacher,
Rebecca Midles, who is pictured below!
Tunt's
fearless school "Leader", and I do mean a leader
with Girl Scouts of America leadership skills,
also has a web page. Click
here
to go to the link to check it out!
Smile
for the camera! I would like to thank this group
for all of their help in collecting the photos
which you are about to see!
Boardwalks
are used to connect the buildings of Tuntutuliak
together. This maze of wooden pathways can be
found everywhere...
... the
boardwalks are in tip top condition ...
Yup'ik instruction is given to the primary
grades and they transition into English as they
advance. The Yup'ik language is spoken at home
making this a true example of a Bilingual
Program!
... even
equiped with road signs ...
I
usually need to remind myself to slow down when
giving instruction; But with these students I
couldn't teach fast enough. There is so much out
there to learn and they want to know it
all!!!
... now that
is awesome!
Tunututuliak
has trees!
We've
got all of the fishcamp gear put up for the
winter now so bring on the snow!
A
beautiful sunrise appears guiding the graveyard
towards the light above.
This office
staff keeps the folks at this school
going!
OOPS!
I guess I was caught in one of those teaching
moments! I owe ya one Rebecca!
Ah! The
river...
...
here we talk about testing the different types
of water found around Tunt!
Students
are checking out the results of the previous
day's water tests.
While
children are hard at play after
school,
the teachers
are planning for all of the upcoming
events!
Thanks
again to all of the students and staff of
Tuntutuliak for making my stay in your school
enjoyable and helping me in gathering all of
these photos that I was able to share with our
web page viewers!
