Qualifications:  
1. High School Diploma or GED.2. As a minimum, a State of Alaska certificate of fitness, Residential Wireman, is required.3. A demonstrated ability to successfully install, troubleshoot, repair and modify electrical systems in residential homes.4. A working knowledge and understanding of the National Electrical code.5. Ability to travel to remote locations.6. Ability to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan environment.7. Ability to carry out successfully the duties described below.
Duties:  
1. At a residential wireman level, performs all tasks for installing, repairing and maintaining electrical components and systems within district housing facilities.2. Performs work with the safety for staff, students, and structures, to the highest standards of the National Electrical code.3. Identifies and requisitions parts from catalog references.4. Is responsible for reporting repairs needed for general building maintenance and equipment malfunctions.5. Performs other duties as assigned.
