Kevin Barnett was born to
the family of Richard and Jane Barnett in Litchfield MN, the third of 5 children. His sisters are Susan, Cathrine and Lisa and Brother, Edward (Jay) He grew up in Hyde Park, in the Hudson River Valley of
New York State. He has spent most of his adult life in Austin, TX. He has been teaching in many different situations since 1991. He came to Toksook Bay to teach with his wife, also a teacher, and daughter, age
16 who is enrolled at Nelson Island School in the 11th grade. He likes to ride bicycles both on and off road, roller blade, paddle canoes and kayaks, take pictures, act in plays, write stories, camp,
hike, and fish. His philosophy is: Help anyone who asks for help, and harm no one for any reason.
