Laurentia's Biography

Hey! My name is Laurentia Ann Bernadette Albert (a.k.a Lala). I was born September 04, 1983 in Bethel, Alaska to Martin and Anna Albert. I have four siblings. Their names are Caroline, Richard, Apali, and Harry. I am the eldest of all four.

I am a senior here at Paul T. Albert Memorial School. My favorite subjects in school are Algebra 2, Mass Communication (easy grade), and English. After graduation, I am going to attend University of Alaska Anchorage, and I'm majoring in pre-nursing. I am one of the four seniors who is going to graduate.

I lived in Tununak a couple of years of my life and moved to Newtok with my grandparents. I lived in Newtok for seven long years then I moved back to Tununak fall of 1997 because my grandma got married again; so I had to move to my parents house. Moving back to Tununak was a big change for me because when I lived in Newtok I was the baby of the family, and now I'm the big sister to my siblings and that means that I can't do any bad things because they look up to me. When I used to live in Newtok I was very shy and couldn't talk to anybody I didn't hang out with. So when I moved back to Tununak my shyness slowly faded away and now I'm not as shy as I used to be.

I may sound boring but I am not a boring person. I am a funny person to hang with because I love to tell funny fictional stories, I do things that are challenging such as hanging from the cliffs (I did that once), and many more things that I wouldn't do in my life. When I start talking to my friends I talk forever until they tell me to shut up. I like to make my friends laugh when they are bored or when they are having a bad day. My friends describe me as a school girl, annoying when I pop my gum (one of my bad habits I got when I used to live in Newtok), perfectionist, fun to talk and hang with, caring, funny, loud, and a motormouth.
