It was wonderful to see so many students participating in the LKSD Science Fair this year.  All of the young scientists did an amazing job of presenting their projects.  The participating students also learned a lot from the visiting Seward Sea Life Center staff. They learned how to admit, evaluate, and monitor rescued ocean animals and identify what sea lions eat by observing their scat.  They also became salmon in an ocean migration simulation and dissected squid in order to identify the parts that help them survive, grow, and reproduce in their environment.
