LKSD occasionally has surplus items for sale. To see what is currently available visit our surplus site at:

Anyone interested in items offered for sale on the surplus website are responsible for arranging and paying any of the shipping costs for those items.

LKSD Employees and ASB will need to set up an account to be able to view items not yet offered to the general public. Follow the linked process below to create an account:

LKSD Surplus Sales Process


LKSD Board Policy 3270 and AR 3270 regulate the process by which items are offered for sale.

LKSD follows the following process:


Items valued less than $1000 and no longer needed by a department or site:
These are first offered up to other LKSD sites for 7 days.

If no LKSD site wishes to claim the item, it is then offered up to LKSD ASB/Board Members and LKSD employees for 14 days.

If no ASB/Board Members or Employees are interested in the items, they are then made available to the General Public for 30 days.

If the General Public is not interested in the item, it is then offered to Non-Profit Organizations.

If no Non-Profit Organizations are interested in the item it is then properly disposed of.


Items valued over $1000 and no longer needed by a department or site:

These are first offered up to other LKSD sites for 7 days.

If no site is interested in the item, it is then offered up for auction to the General Public.

Items not purchased by the General Public are then offered to non-profit organizations. If no non-profit organizations are interested in the item it is properly disposed of.
