We encourage our customers and communities to consider preparing as well. Some steps you can take include:
• Refill any prescriptions that are running low by calling 907-543-6988 or 877-543-6988 (outside of Bethel). If planes are unable to fly due to ash in the
air, prescriptions may be delayed in reaching communities outside of Bethel.
• Consider obtaining N-95 face masks. Masks with a HEPA filter or an N-95 will filter out the damaging fine particles in volcanic ash, according to the American Lung Association.
• Make sure you have food and water on site to get you through up to two weeks without new deliveries.
